DiaMold Compounds

Not every polishing application demands a superior performing product and many customers are on a tight budget. For general use, Engis offers the DiaMold range of diamond compound. ® ® Manufactured to the same specifications as our premium Five® ® Star compound, DiaMold compound offers an economical solution for mold and die polishing applications. ® DiaMold diamond compound is oil soluble and can be used ® ® with Hyprelube and Hyprez OS Type IV (oil soluble) lubricants.

Hyprez Five-Star

The mold finisher’s choice! Five-Star compound is graded to closer tolerances than normal industry standards which results in faster and more consistent cut rates. Our Chemical Engineering Department has developed a carrier which offers superior finishes which can be cleaned with either oil or water based products. The performance of Engis Five-Star compound often eliminates polishing steps, resulting in a better quality mold finish produced in less time.

HYPREZ L COMPOUND

For tungsten carbine, hard metals, and ceramics. Hyprez Formula L diamond coupounds are specially formulated for use with harder materials. Typical applications include finishing tungsten carbide tooling, rolls and balls, ceramics and coarse lapping on Hyprez natural metal and special composite laps. Proven formulation! Hyprez Formula L is a uniform diamond particle suspension which is not affected by dilution. The compound can be thinned to any desired consistence with Hyprez OS Type IV and Hyprelube lubricants. It utilizes a special tension to improve lap adhesion.

HYPREZ W COMPOUND

A water-soluable formula that cleans easily from the workpiece, Hyprez W is recommended for areas requiring a very high luster, but which might be affected by an oil-base compound. Hyprez W was the first commercially successful diamound compound. Formulated by Engis , it is still in general use by the die and mod industry and for precision hand lapping. For additional lubrication, use W lubricant.

HYPREZ SC COMPOUND

Super-cut compound gets the job done quicker! The new Hyprez SC diamond compound has been specifically formulated ® with the polishing professional in mind. In the past, a compound that cut quickly might leave a higher finish, resulting in additional f inishing steps to massage the mold back to its original state. Any time saved on the front end was lost in the final polish; to ® address this challenge the engineers at Engis have developed Hyprez SC. ® An exceptionally sharp diamond particle type zhas been selected and the PSD (particle size distribution) optimized for superior cutting action.
